And above us, at center of the solar system, is the fiery sun itself.

We can see the central importance of fire, and that we live between two great fires from which we are born.  It should come as no great surprise then, that we ourselves are fiery—not only the chemical heat of the body, but the mysterious hidden fires that Eastern thinkers call kundalini.  The centers or “chakaras” themselves can be conceived as sources of fiery radiance.  Not only this, but the soul, or innermost Self has been likened to fire.

We know the release of the energy of the “atom” yields fiery energy.   The modern concept of the atom is no longer so solar system-like, but is more like a nucleus surround by a cloud.

Instead of solar system, it’s now pictured as energy that resembles a cluster galaxy.

Our own galaxy is a great disk of suns, a spiral of light and fire.  It looks a lot like our neighboring galaxy, Andromeda.

We know cosmos is peopled with numberless suns…
